Sacred Smoke is an exceptionally sophisticated, spirit-forward cocktail built for those who love bold, complex profiles. It features a masterful split-base structure, pairing 30ml of earth-born Corte Vetusto Espadín Mezcal with 25ml of smooth, rich Scotch whisky (such as Singleton 12 or Johnnie Walker Black Label). This smoky foundation is balanced with 25ml of velvety sweet vermouth and 10ml of DOM Bénédictine, which adds an old-world herbal and honeyed complexity. Finished with 2 drops of bright, anise-tinged Peychaud's bitters and stirred with ice, it delivers a deeply refined and contemplative sipping experience.
Ingredients:
25ml Whisky - Singleton 12 or Black Label
25ml Sweet Vermouth / Cocchi Torino
10ml DOM Benedictine
2 drops Peychaud Bitters
Instructions:
Combine ingredients: Pour the 30ml Mezcal, 25ml Whisky, 25ml Sweet Vermouth, 10ml DOM Bénédictine, and 2 drops of Peychaud's Bitters into a mixing glass.
Stir and chill: Fill the mixing glass with plenty of ice, then stir gently until the cocktail is well chilled and properly diluted.
Strain and serve: Strain the liquid cleanly into a chilled serving glass (like a coupe or over a large ice cube in a rocks glass) and enjoy!
