Red Sun
A visually stunning, seasonal variation of the margarita. It softens the intense, earthy smokiness of mezcal with the bittersweet, ruby-red juice of fresh blood oranges, brightened up by fresh lime and agave nectar.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. blanco tequila
3/4 oz. Aperol
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. mezcal
1/2 oz. blood orange syrup (1:1 blood orange purée to sugar)
2 dashes of fire tincture
Instructions:
Rim a glass with tajín and salt and set aside. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake to chill. Double strain into the prepared glass over a large ice cube. Garnish.
