Old Mexican Friend

The Old Mexican Friend is a smoky, agave-based riff on the classic gin-forward Old Friend cocktail. It beautifully harmonizes the earthy smokiness of mezcal with the bracing acidity of fresh pink grapefruit juice, the bite of Italian red bitter liqueur, and the delicate floral sweetness of elderflower. Shaken and served chilled in a coupe, it is finished with an expressed grapefruit twist for a wonderfully bittersweet, complex, and zesty sipper.
