Cantinflas Mustache
The Cantinflas Mustache is a beautifully balanced, equal-parts cocktail that delivers a complex, spirit-forward profile perfect as a digestivo. It blends a rich base of Reposado tequila and smoky mezcal with the deep, bittersweet notes of amaro and the herbaceous touch of blanc quinquina. Accented with warming dashes of Xocolatl mole bitters, this stirred cocktail is served chilled in a coupe and garnished with an expressed orange zest twist.
Ingredients:
22.5 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
22.5 ml Patrón Reposado tequila
22.5 ml Amaro (e.g., Meletti)
22.5 ml Blanc quinquina/kina (e.g., Mattei Cap Corse, Bonal, or Kina L'Aér
2 dashes Xocolatl mole bitters
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
Prepare a garnish of orange zest twist.
Stir all ingredients with ice.
Strain into a chilled glass.
Express orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.
