Lazy Lover

A beautifully clear but intensely flavored riff on the White Negroni. It tames the aggressive smoke of the mezcal by stirring it down with sweet bianco vermouth and the dry, earthy bitterness of Suze (a French gentian liqueur).

Ingredients:

• 3 slice Cucumber (fresh)

• 1 pinch Salt (sea salt)

• 30 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal

• 22.5 ml Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)

• 7.5 ml Demerara/Muscovado/brown sugar syrup (2 sugar to 1 water)

• 7.5 ml Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions:

• Muddle cucumber slices and salt in the base of the shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass.
