Heering is Keering

A vibrant, ruby-red cocktail that relies on culinary ingredients to bridge the gap between sweet and smoky. It shakes mezcal with sweet Cherry Heering liqueur, earthy beetroot juice, fresh lime, and muddled lemon balm.

Ingredients:

• 40 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal

• 30 ml Cherry (brandy) liqueur

• 40 ml Beetroot juice

• 30 ml Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

• 5 ml Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)

• 1⁄12 fresh*Special ingredient #1 (see above)

Instructions:

• Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
