Frozen Passion Fruit Mezcalita

A wonderfully complex and layered riff on the classic, balancing rich agave notes with the sweet, nutty essence of roasted almond. It combines reposado tequila, smoky mezcal, amaretto liqueur, and triple sec, all brightened by a zesty split of freshly squeezed lemon and lime juices. Enhanced by optional tonka bitters and a touch of saline solution, this sour yet decadent drink is shaken, served up in a chilled coupe, and garnished with a lime wedge.

Instructions:

  • Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.

  • Prepare a garnish of a lime slice wheel on the rim, or float half a fresh passion fruit, or top the centre of the cocktail with a spoon of passion fruit seeds and flesh.

  • Blend all ingredients with ¾ of a 7oz scoop of crushed ice.

  • Pour into a chilled glass.
