Witches' Cauldron
Witches' Cauldron is a spellbinding, mezcal-based riff on the classic Corpse Reviver that masterfully weaves the artisanal smoke of mezcal with the bright, minty-herbal complexity of Italian Strega liqueur. Shaken to a frosty chill with crisp Lillet Blanc, fresh lemon juice, and an aromatic whisper of anise-heavy absinthe, this deeply layered sour is fine-strained into a chilled coupe and uniquely garnished with a savory green olive.
Ingredients:
22.5 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
22.5 ml liquore Strega
22.5 ml Aromatized wine (e.g., Lillet Blanc) chilled
22.5 ml Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 dashes of La Fée Parisienne absinthe
3 drops of saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or a mere pinch of salt
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.
Prepare a garnish of green olives.
Shake all ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish with a skewered olive.
