The Frank
The Frank is a complex, equal-parts riff on a traditional Negroni. It stirs together a delicate balance of mezcal, blanco tequila, Italian red bitter liqueur (like Campari), Amaro Montenegro, and both dry and sweet vermouths. The resulting six-ingredient apéritif retains a bittersweet, agave-laced character, where smoky and dark fruit notes are beautifully mellowed by the rich botanical backbone.
Ingredients:
15 ml Amaro (e.g. Montenegro)
15 ml Strucchi Dry Vermouth
15 ml Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass
Prepare a garnish of a quarter orange slice wheel on the rim.
Stir all ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled glass
Garnish with a quarter orange slice on rim.
