Smoky Tears Cocktail
A highly unique Margarita riff that brilliantly marries the earthy smoke of mezcal with the piney, resinous freshness of Greek mastiha liqueur. This unexpected but delightful pairing is perfectly balanced by the tart acidity of fresh pink grapefruit juice and a delicate touch of rich sugar syrup. Shaken and served up in a chilled coupe, it is elegantly garnished with a fresh grapefruit wedge for a bright, savory, and complex sipper.
Ingredients:
45 ml Mastiha liqueur
.22.5 ml Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass
Prepare a garnish of a grapefruit wedge.
Shake all ingredients with ice.
Strain into a chilled glass.
