Silencio Margarita
Silencio Margarita (also known as the Silencio Mezcalita) is a smoky, beautifully balanced twist on the legendary classic. It features a bold base of 2 oz Mezcal El Silencio Espadín, shaken hard with 0.8 oz of fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz of Cointreau (orange liqueur), and 0.5 oz of sweet agave nectar. Shaken with ice to achieve a frosty, refreshing dilution, it is strained cleanly into an ice-filled rocks glass. The cocktail is typically served in an eye-catching spiked glass rimmed with chili salt or Tajín, and finished with a fresh lime wedge garnish.
Ingredients:
2 oz Mezcal El Silencio Espadín
1 oz Fresh lime juice
0.5 oz Agave nectar
Tajín or sea salt (for the rim)
Lime wheel (for garnish)
Instructions:
Rim the glass: Run a lime wedge around half the rim of a rocks glass and dip it into the Tajín or sea salt, then fill the glass with fresh ice.
Combine: Add the Mezcal El Silencio, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker.
Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to chill and dilute.
Strain: Pour the mixture through a strainer into your prepared rocks glass.
Garnish: Drop a fresh lime wheel into the glass or rest it on the rim before serving.
