Pastry War Margarita
Named after the 1838 conflict between France and Mexico, this Margarita riff uses a split base of tequila and mezcal combined with amaro and elderflower liqueur.
Ingredients:
30 ml Patrón Reposado tequila
.15 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
15 ml Amaro (e.g. Montenegro)
15 ml Elderflower liqueur
15 mL Lime juice (freshly squeezed)2 drops Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or a merest pinch of salt
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.
Prepare a garnish of lime wedge.
Shake all ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge.
