Mandarine

Mandarine is a creamy, tropical, and wonderfully cozy cocktail that beautifully marries bright winter citrus with rich, velvety coconut. Crafted by muddling fresh mandarin segments alongside sweet orange liqueur to release the fruit's vibrant juices, it is then combined with artisanal mezcal, rich cream of coconut, and agave nectar. Shaken vigorously and double-strained over crushed ice into an old-fashioned glass—gorgeously rimmed in agave syrup and shredded coconut—it is finished with a skewered mandarin slice and a fresh sprig of mint.

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml Mezcal Mitre Origen

  • 4-5 Mandarin segments

  • 30 ml Coconut Cream

  • 15 ml Orange liqueur

  • 15 ml Agave Honey

  • Shredded coconut

Instructions:

  • In a shaker, combine the mandarin orange segments and orange liqueur, and muddle until all the fruit juice is released. Add Mezcal Mitre Origen, coconut cream, and agave syrup. Fill halfway with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Add crushed ice to an old-fashioned glass rimmed with agave syrup and shredded coconut, and serve using the double-straining technique.

  • Decorate with a mandarin orange and spearmint or mint skewer.
