Las Almendras
A brilliant spin on Jerry Thomas' classic Japanese Cocktail. This simple, stirred concoction highlights the deeply roasted flavors of mezcal alongside the sweet richness of almond orgeat and chocolate bitters.
Ingredients:
2 oz. mezcal
½ oz. Small Hand Foods orgeat
3 dashes of chocolate bitters
Instructions:
In a rocks glass, stir the mezcal, orgeat and bitters together with a large ice cube. Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink, then drop it in. Add a cinnamon stick.
