Heisenberg Cocktail

A highly complex, vibrant blue Margarita riff created to celebrate the finale of Breaking Bad. Like a well-measured chemistry experiment, it layers the rich smokiness of añejo tequila and mezcal with a sweet, floral trio of maraschino liqueur, blue curaçao, and lavender syrup. Shaken and served in a coupe (or appropriately, a science beaker) with a blue salt rim, it perfectly balances its sweet and smoky notes with a bracing punch of fresh lime juice.

Ingredients:

• 40 ml Patrón Añejo tequila

• 15 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal

• 10 ml Luxardo Maraschino liqueur

• 20 ml Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

• 7.5 m lLavender sugar syrup

• 7.5 ml Bols Blue Curaçao

• 5 ml Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)

Instructions:

• Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass. (Most appropriately served in a science beaker.)

• Garnish with lime juice and blue-coloured salt rim
