Granada Margarita

Granada Margarita is a stunning, ruby-hued riff on the classic Margarita that introduces a beautiful tart fruitiness to complement agave's natural profile. It is crafted by shaking 1.5 oz of earthy The Lost Explorer Mezcal Espadín (or Tequila Blanco) with 1 oz of fresh pomegranate juice (granada in Spanish). The mixture is balanced with 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz of agave syrup to soften the tartness. Shaken vigorously with ice and fine-strained into a rocks glass over a large ice cube, it is finished with an elegant pomegranate seed and lime wheel garnish for a festive, deeply flavor-forward experience.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ oz / 50 ml The Lost Explorer Mezcal Espadín (optional: infuse with ginger)

  • ⅔ oz / 17.5 ml Pomegranate Molasses

  • ¾ oz / 25 ml Fresh Lime

  • Garnish with Black Volcanic Salt

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake it up. Rim an Old Fashioned glass with black volcanic salt and fill it with ice. Strain cocktail into glass. Sip with intention.
