Cola di Ferro
Cola di Ferro is a beautifully bittersweet, late-night digestivo that expertly pairs the earthy smoke of artisanal mezcal with the deep, herbal complexity of Amaro Lucano and Ferro China Baliva. Stirred with fresh pink grapefruit juice and fine-strained into a chilled coupe, this bold, spirit-forward sipper is topped with an effervescent splash of cola and elegantly finished with an expressed grapefruit twist.
Ingredients:
30 ml Ferro China Baliva
15 ml Lucano amaro
7.5 ml Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
1 dash of Boker's style bitters
3 drops of saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or a merest pinch of salt
15 ml Cola (chilled)
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.
Prepare a garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
Stir the first 6 ingredients with ice.
Strain into a chilled glass.
Top with cola.
Express grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.
