Black Rider

A moody, cold-weather classic. This cocktail splits the base between aged Brandy (or Cognac) and Mezcal, creating a deeply rich, fruit-forward, and smoky drink that feels like a cross between a Vieux Carré and a smoky Old Fashioned.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Brandy (Williams uses Torres 5-Year Solera)

  • 1 oz. mezcal

  • 3/4 oz. Cynar

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients, stir with ice, and strain into a chilled glass.
