Bitter Almondo
Cosmarita is a brilliant, feisty cross between a Cosmopolitan and a Margarita that expertly layers reposado tequila and earthy mezcal with sweet-tart cranberry and a rich duo of orange liqueurs. Shaken with fresh lime juice and a touch of saline, this vibrant, deeply complex sipper is served over ice and elegantly finished with an expressed orange zest twist.
Ingredients:
4 drops Bob's Vanilla bitters
4 drops of saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or a mere pinch of salt
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.
Prepare a garnish of grated nutmeg and roasted almonds.
Shake all ingredients with ice. (There's no need to dry shake to achieve the desired foam.)
Fine strain into a chilled glass.
Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.
Garnish with 3 roasted almonds floated in a line across the surface.
