After moving to New York City and passionately sharing his family's craft as a bartender, Daniel helped bring his grandfather's spirit to the US market. Espadín (Don Valentin / Yautepec): The brand's signature expression, crafted by Don Valentin using 100% Agave Espadín. This mezcal is prized for its incredibly fresh and bright character. The nose opens with sweet roasted agave, vibrant lemons, distinct floral notes, and a hearty, slate-like minerality. On the palate, it provides a surprisingly creamy texture that balances citrus zest, poached pear, and sweet caramel candy. It concludes with a beautiful, caramelized saline finish and a very clean, delicate smoke that makes it an exceptional sipping mezcal.
Espadín (Quiegolani): Crafted under the San Bartolo label by the masterful hands of the Diaz Cruz family (Maestros Mezcaleros Enrique and Juan Nacho Diaz Cruz), this release offers a rugged, terroir-driven variation of their classic Espadín. It features a highly herbal and piney nose backed by a crisp, wet-stone minerality. The tasting experience is bold and complex, blending rich agave earthiness with green herbal spice, before fading into a lingering finish marked by white pepper warmth and a deeply satisfying, balanced smoke.
