RACHO Mezcal Artesanal
ABOUT:
RACHO Mezcal Artesanal was created with a clear, heartfelt mission: to showcase the dedication, work, and determination of Maestro Mezcalero Temo Garcia and his family. Produced at the family’s palenque affectionately named "Rancho Geuu Y Doo," nestled high in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca, the brand honors distillation methods passed down through generations. Operating under the guiding principle of "Mezcal como debe ser" (Mezcal as it should be), RACHO strictly adheres to traditional, small-batch artisanal processes. They utilize only hand-picked, fully mature, and sugar-rich agaves grown on the local hillsides. The hearts are slow-roasted underground for four to five days using Desert Pine and volcanic rock, naturally fermented in wooden vats utilizing wild, airborne yeasts with absolutely no additives, and finally double-distilled in rotating copper alembiques to ensure a pure, consistent, and authentic spirit.
