ABOUT:

The Producer Mezcal (often referred to simply as "The Producer") was born from a group of friends from both sides of the US-Mexico border who traveled through Oaxaca and fell in love with the land, the culture, and the spirit. Their mission was to create a highly refined, approachable, and super-smooth artisanal mezcal designed to be shared among old friends and new. Honoring traditional, small-batch craftsmanship, the brand partners with acclaimed Maestros Mezcaleros across different regions of Oaxaca (including Ejutla, Tlacolula, and Santiago Matatlán). The production strictly follows artisanal methods: agaves are slow-roasted in traditional subterranean earthen ovens, milled using a heavy stone tahona pulled by a bull or donkey, naturally fermented in open-air wooden vats (often situated near fruit trees that contribute wild, endemic yeast strains), and double-distilled in classic copper pot stills.

  • Espadín: The brand’s highly versatile, cocktail-friendly expression, crafted by Maestro Juan Pacheco Santos in Ejutla. Made from 100% Espadín agave matured for 7 years and bottled at 44% ABV, it undergoes fermentation in unique Cypress wood tanks. It presents a vibrant, approachable profile defined by green, vegetal notes, an earthy minerality, and a very subtle, integrated smoke that holds up beautifully in a margarita or stands entirely on its own.

  • Ensamble: An award-winning, exceptionally fresh blend designed for both novices and connoisseurs. Crafted by Maestro Erasto Martinez, it artfully combines 6-year-old Espadín with 9-year-old wild Cuishe agaves. Bottled at an easy-drinking 40.2% ABV, the nose opens with fresh agave and bright floral aromas, while the palate delivers a highly approachable, fruity experience with subtle mineral undertones and a gentle, bright finish.

  • Tepeztate: A remarkable, small-batch expression crafted by Maestro Celestino Sernas in Santiago Matatlán from pure, wild Agave marmorata (Tepeztate) that has matured in the wild for 21 years. Bottled at 40.2% ABV, this spirit perfectly captures the wild, herbaceous character of the plant. The tasting journey is intensely complex, offering layered notes of spicy jalapeño, sharp white pepper, citrus, and earth, all balanced by a distinct, salty minerality.

  • Arroqueño: A super-premium, exceedingly rare sipping mezcal distilled from massive wild Agave americana plants that require two to three decades to fully mature in the soil. Also crafted by Juan Pacheco Santos and bottled at a robust 46% ABV, it commands attention. It rewards the drinker with a lush, complex palate of tropical stone fruits, citrus rind, and cracked black pepper, grounded by a deep, resonant earthiness and elegant floral smoke.

  • San Martin: A highly limited-production artisanal expression crafted from wild-harvested agave. It boasts a bold, terroir-driven character, offering a sophisticated interplay of smoky sweetness and minerality on the palate. Unique botanical tasting notes of fresh celery and mint sprigs give way to a clean, dry, and stony finish that lingers beautifully.
