Hedonistas Mezcal

ABOUT:

Hedonistas de la Fe (Hedonistas Mezcal) believes in making more than just a spirit—they believe in crafting unforgettable moments. With a manifesto centered around the idea to "Go Deep," the brand challenges you to take the scenic route in a fast-paced world, embracing the stories, laughter, and connections that unfold over a glass. Produced in the highlands of Oaxaca, the mezcal is crafted by Maestro Mezcalero Gerardo "Kain" Santiago Hernandez, who honors 500 years of Zapotec tradition and his own family's multi-generational heritage. Working alongside a dedicated team of jimadores, they seek perfection in every small batch using just two ingredients: agave and water. If the balance isn't perfect, it doesn't go in the bottle.

MEZCALS OFFERED:

  • Espadín ("The Gateway"): Crafted from 6–8-year-matured Agave Angustifolia, this expression captures a classic, highly approachable mezcal profile. The nose introduces gentle smoke, honey, aloe, and green olive. The palate offers a vibrant citrus lift with notes of grapefruit peel, star fruit, Sichuan pepper, and light smoke, finishing clean and delicate. It is beautifully balanced for mixing or sipping neat.

  • Tobalá ("The Bold"): Made from 10–12-year-matured Agave Potatorum, this full-bodied and powerful expression is intensely layered. It offers a bouquet of dried tropical fruit, sweet mint, and structured smoke. The palate brings complex notes of green bell pepper, cardamom, dried banana, cedar wood, and mint. Its structured, long finish makes it exceptional on its own or as a distinctive base in cocktails.

  • Cuishe ("The Delicate"): A soft, elegant, and almost sake-like mezcal crafted from 13–15-year-aged Agave Karwinskii. Defined by finesse and aromatic complexity, the nose is full of white flower blossoms, chaparral, and a subtle hint of smoke. The palate delivers white pepper, plum, dried fruit, limestone, and salinity, carrying through to a long, nuanced, and beautifully balanced finish.

  • Tepeztate ("The Legend"): A deeply layered, contemplative masterpiece made from wild Agave Marmorata that requires a 20–25-year maturation. The nose leads with eucalyptus, florals, light smoke, cinnamon, and star anise. Savored neat, the palate is round and decadent without feeling heavy, offering creamy notes of Calvados-like fruit, baking spices, and peppermint, culminating in a long and ever-evolving finish.
