Join explorers Justin Fornal and Chad Anderson for a screening of their latest collaboration. “The Mezcalarians”, “a psychedelic-mezcal-pickled-Western”, straddles narrative and documentary film and is a love letter to Oaxaca, one of the most unique regions on the planet. Armed with only machetes and mezcal, three friends embark on an expedition to carry a 50-gallon wood barrel of fermenting agave through remote corners of the region. Along the way, the trio meets some of Oaxaca's greatest artisans keeping Pre-Colombian indigenous culture and tradition alive. Justin Fornal is an award-winning writer and filmmaker using storytelling and activism to showcase vanishing traditions in crisis zones with expertise in ancient textile production, traditional food and the material culture of ritual. Chad Anderson is the founder and CEO of Space Capital, and author of "The Space Economy" (Wiley), as well as a documentary filmmaker and former board director of The Explorers Club.
