🍖 Shepard Barbecue was founded in the fall of 2020. During this uncertain time, the husband-and-wife team recognized that they could control the quality of cuisine and the hospitality experience they provided to their guests, which was essential. The couple quickly realized that this was precisely what their area was missing. In the late summer of 2021, they were approached by Food Network's producers to be featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Furthermore, Guy Fieri presented them with the opportunity to cater his family reunion, which marked the beginning of an extraordinary friendship. This friendship led them to travel across the country, from Miami to California. The duo cooked at the Food Network's South Beach Food and Wine Festival, alongside some of the nation's top chefs. They also had the privilege of cooking alongside renowned pitmasters, including Adam Perry Lang and Pat Martin, at the Stagecoach Live Fire event. Additionally, they have cooked for numerous talented individuals, including Artie Sequeira, Guy Fieri, Diplo, and cast members from Yellowstone, as well as various professionals. They are excited to embark on the next chapter of their journey with the opening of a second location in Wilmington's Cargo District, featuring Shepard Barbecue and their newest concept, Taco Papi.
