From a college assignment to world-renowned spirits.
Nosotros Tequila began in 2015 as a passion project between two college students, Carlos Soto from Costa Rica and Michael Arbanas from Loyola Marymount University. What started as a business school pitch became reality in 2017, when they officially launched the brand. Fast forward to today—Nosotros is a multi-award-winning tequila and mezcal brand known for its clean taste, sustainability efforts, and creative expressions.

About 21 Oceanfront - Historic Roots
Located at the base of the historic Newport Pier, 21 Oceanfront Restaurant is housed in the landmark McFadden Building, one of the oldest structures on the Balboa Peninsula. This location played a pivotal role in shaping the early development of Newport Beach.
The iconic brick building at 2100 West Oceanfront began as the B.K. Stone Building, commissioned in 1927 by Bagasar K. Stone and designed by architect Frank Lansdown, replacing an earlier structure on the site.
Before that, brothers James and Robert McFadden built Newport’s first wharf here in 1888, linked by rail to Santa Ana, which catalyzed the growth of Newport Landing and shaped the future of the Balboa Peninsula.
Over the decades, the building has hosted a variety of restaurants, bars, and gathering spaces, including well-known establishments like Alley West, The Ritz, and The Rex, each contributing to its colorful legacy. In 1991, 21 Oceanfront opened its doors, bringing timeless elegance, classic coastal cuisine, and sweeping ocean views to the historic property.
