The Margarita has been the most popular cocktail since the 1970s, yet these numbers do not correlate with the number of drinkers who prefer Tequila. All tequila is Mezcal, but not all Mezcal is Tequila. What is the difference? What is Mezcal? What is Agave? How is Mezcal made? Why is there so much controversy surrounding Tequila production? How does one read a Mezcal bottle and decipher the information?
We will explore these topics and more via three Agave-based classics. Agave spirits are a lot of fun to work with in cocktails, and they have a surprisingly wide and rich range of applications. This will be a lively class, and by the end, you will have improved your skills in the category.
This ADDITIONAL skill-building class will take place at Little Gem on Tuesday, July 28, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Space is limited to 16 seats, so be sure to reserve yours today! Tickets are available at $75 (includes plated snacks from Beau Catering, three cocktails, and recipe cards for each cocktail so you can make them at home). Hope to see you there!
