Join us at Monstera for a special evening as we welcome Hugo from Of Spine & Vine for an in-depth seminar and guided tasting celebrating the U.S. launch of Maestros del Mezcal. This intimate, two-hour session includes a 10-mezcal tasting showcasing some of the most unique, small-production, and traditionally crafted spirits coming out of Mexico today.

About Maestros del Mezcal

Maestros del Mezcal is a collective of hundreds of producers working across the diverse mezcal-making regions of Mexico. Their mission is to preserve, protect, and uplift the culture and communities behind traditional mezcal, while ensuring that producers have access to the tools, resources, and markets necessary to thrive.

Through community-driven organization, Maestros del Mezcal provides financial and technical support to improve palenques, reforests endangered agave species and the trees used as fuel for production, and works to establish fair pricing standards that strengthen the economies of mezcal-producing regions.

Every mezcal made under the Maestros del Mezcal umbrella is crafted in an entirely traditional manner—no commercial yeasts, no accelerants, no shortcuts. The only ingredients are agave, water, work, and love. Each batch is distilled in copper, clay, or wooden pot stills, often in tiny lots of just 50–200 liters, reflecting the terroir of each region and the signature touch of the individual mezcalero.
