The Mero Mero

A deeply complex, spirit-forward nightcap named after the Spanish slang for "the top dog." It plays up the earthy minerals of its pure espadín mezcal base by stirring it down with sweet vermouth, the artichoke bitterness of Cynar, sweet maraschino liqueur, and orange bitters.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. mezcal

  • ½ oz. reposado tequila

  • ½ oz. Cynar

  • ½ oz. maraschino liqueur

  • ½ oz. Punt e Mes sweet vermouth

  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Instructions:

  • Add all the ingredients with ice  to a mixing glass. Strain into a single rocks glass. Add one large ice cube. Garnish.
