Spiced Apple Margarita
Spiced Apple Margarita is a cozy, autumn-inspired twist on the classic tequila recipe, replacing it with the rich, smoky depth of Mezcal El Silencio Espadín. It combines 2 oz of the artisanal mezcal with sweet, spiced apple cider, fresh lime juice, and a touch of agave nectar to balance the tartness. Shaken vigorously with ice, the cocktail is strained into a rocks glass prepared with a warm cinnamon-sugar-salt rim. Beautifully seasonal, it is garnished with a fresh apple slice or a fragrant cinnamon stick for a fragrant, comforting finish.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Mezcal El Silencio
1.5 oz Spiced Apple Cider
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 oz Agave Nectar (or Cinnamon Syrup)
Cinnamon and sugar (for the rim)
Apple slice and cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Instructions:
Rim the glass: Run a lime wedge along the edge of a rocks glass and dip it into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, then fill the glass with fresh ice.
Combine ingredients: Add the Mezcal El Silencio, spiced apple cider, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker.
Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
Strain: Pour the mixture through a strainer into your prepared rocks glass.
Garnish: Top with a fresh apple slice and drop in a cinnamon stick before serving.
