Spiced Apple Margarita

Spiced Apple Margarita is a cozy, autumn-inspired twist on the classic tequila recipe, replacing it with the rich, smoky depth of Mezcal El Silencio Espadín. It combines 2 oz of the artisanal mezcal with sweet, spiced apple cider, fresh lime juice, and a touch of agave nectar to balance the tartness. Shaken vigorously with ice, the cocktail is strained into a rocks glass prepared with a warm cinnamon-sugar-salt rim. Beautifully seasonal, it is garnished with a fresh apple slice or a fragrant cinnamon stick for a fragrant, comforting finish.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Mezcal El Silencio

  • 1.5 oz Spiced Apple Cider

  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice

  • 0.5 oz Agave Nectar (or Cinnamon Syrup)

  • Cinnamon and sugar (for the rim)

  • Apple slice and cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Instructions:

  • Rim the glass: Run a lime wedge along the edge of a rocks glass and dip it into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, then fill the glass with fresh ice.

  • Combine ingredients: Add the Mezcal El Silencio, spiced apple cider, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker.

  • Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.

  • Strain: Pour the mixture through a strainer into your prepared rocks glass.

  • Garnish: Top with a fresh apple slice and drop in a cinnamon stick before serving.
