Skinny Margarita
Skinny Margarita is a crisp, pared-down recipe that strips away heavy sugars to let the bright agave flavor take center stage. It shakes up 2 oz of Agua Mágica Mezcal with 1 oz of fresh-squeezed lime juice and just 0.5 oz of light agave nectar, cutting out orange liqueurs entirely. Vigorously shaken with ice to create a frosty, light dilution, it is strained cleanly into an elegant, stemmed coupe glass. The cocktail is simply finished with a delicate rim of fine sea salt along one side of the glass.
Ingredients:
2 oz Agua Mágica Mezcal
1 oz Fresh lime juice
Optional: 0.25 oz of Agave Nectar (if you prefer a slight touch of sweetness in your skinny margarita)
Salt (for the rim)
Lime wheel (for garnish)
Instructions:
Rim the glass: If desired, run a lime wedge along the edge of a rocks glass and dip it into salt, then fill the glass with fresh ice.
Combine: Add the Agua Mágica Mezcal and fresh lime juice (plus agave, if using) into a cocktail shaker.
Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled.
Strain: Pour the mixture through a strainer into your prepared rocks glass.
Garnish: Drop a fresh lime wheel into the glass before serving.
