Palabra Caliente

Palabra Caliente is a vibrant, nicely spiced Last Word riff that expertly pairs the earthy smoke of mezcal with the unique sweetness of corn liqueur and a warming kick of chilli liqueur. Shaken with a bright splash of fresh lime juice, this beautifully complex and fiery sipper is fine-strained into a chilled coupe and elegantly finished with an expressed lime twist and a sweet maraschino cherry.

Ingredients:

• 30 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal

• 22.5 ml Corn/maize liqueur

• 22.5 ml Giffard Piment d'Espelette chile liqueur

• 15 ml Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions:

• Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.

• Prepare a garnish of lime zest twist and skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

• Shake all ingredients with ice.

• Fine strain into a chilled glass.

• Express lime zest twist over cocktail and discard.

• Garnish with a skewered maraschino cherry.
