Oaxacan Smoking Jacket

A stirred, spirit-forward cocktail meant for slow sipping. This recipe blends Mezcal with rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and a touch of orange bitters, creating a smoky, robust twist on a Manhattan.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. espadín mezcal (Barrio uses Los Vecinos del Campo)

  • 1/2 oz. oloroso sherry

  • 1/2 oz. Amaro CioCiaro

  • 1/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1)

  • 8 drops mole bitters (Barrio uses Bittermens)

Instructions:

  • Stir all of the ingredients with ice, strain into a glass holding a large ice cube, then garnish.
