El Tío Saúco

El Tío Saúco is a refined, botanically driven cocktail that beautifully highlights the mineral and herbal profile of Mezcal Viviente Ensamble. It stirs together 50 ml of the artisanal mezcal with 10 ml of dry Tío Pepe Fino Sherry, 10 ml of sweet elderflower syrup (jarabe de saúco), and 10 ml of simple syrup. Stirred with ice for 15 seconds in a mixing glass to chill and dilute, the elegant mixture is strained neat into a pre-chilled coupe glass and finished with a delicate, edible flower.

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml of Mezcal Viviente Blend

  • 10 ml Tío Pepe

  • 10 ml elderberry syrup

  • 10 ml simple syrup

  • Martini glass

  • Edible flower for decoration

Instructions:

  • Add ice to the glass and chill.

  • Inside a shaker, combine all the ingredients and apply the mixing technique for 15 seconds.

  • Pour into the glass without ice.

  • Decorate with an edible flower.
