Cantarito Ilegal is a bright, immensely refreshing citrus cooler that brilliantly pairs the smooth, subtle smoke of unaged mezcal with a vibrant splash of fresh orange and lime juices. Built directly over ice in a traditional clay cup and generously topped with effervescent grapefruit soda, this thirst-quenching sipper is perfectly finished with a savory, umami-rich sal de gusano rim.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Ilegal Joven

  • 0.75 oz orange juice 

  • 0.5 oz lime

Instructions:

  • Rim the glass of cantarito with sal de gusano, ingredients, and ice. Top off with grapefruit soda and a pinch of sal de gusano (worm salt)
