1910
1910 is a deeply complex, spirit-forward Martinez riff that marries a sophisticated split base of elegant cognac and earthy, smoky mezcal. Stirred to a velvety chill with bittersweet Punt e Mes vermouth amaro, sweet maraschino liqueur, and a few punchy dashes of Creole bitters, this potent nightcap is strained into a pre-chilled coupe and finished with a fragrant, expressed orange zest twist.
Ingredients:
22.5 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
22.5 ml Cognac (brandy)
2 dashes of Peychaud's or other Creole-style bitters
Instructions:
Select and pre-chill a coupe glass.
Prepare a garnish of orange zest twist.
Stir all ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled glass.
Express orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.
