In January, despite all the "Dry January" rhetoric, people were going hard on porn -- Porn Star Martinis that is!
​
This drink is a wild departure from a traditional martini. In fact, it's nothing like a martini at all, but that's what makes it fun...and sexy!
​
The flavors blend the earthy notes of mezcal with the sweet, tangy flavors of passion fruit and vanilla. And it comes with a "chaser" so both your hands are occupied, essentially keeping you out of trouble.
​

HOW TO MAKE IT...

Ingredients:
​2 oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
.5 oz Passoã passion fruit liqueur
.5 oz Vanilla sugar syrup
.5 oz Passion fruit purée
2 oz Brut champagne or sparkling wine (side car)

Instructions:
​Select and pre-chill glasses.
Prepare a garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
Shake all ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into chilled glass.
Optionally, separately pour the sparkling wine into a chilled shot glass to serve alongside the cocktail.

I can't think of anything more spiritually transcendent than a sunset-to-sunrise music experience at Teotihuacan in Mexico.

​I'm not sure I agree with using sacred sites like this for profit but, this is pretty cool.
​
Just going to the site during the day, you feel the presence of a higher being. I've been there and I can't imagine what it's like with thousands of people dancing in rhythm hopped up on mezcal and other mind-elevating...things. ​

Anyone know what mezcal brands will be at this event? I can't find any information about it. But I can't imagine this event without it.

If you're as sick as I am of snow, ice, and work...you should be thinking about booking a ticket to Oaxaca.
