Se Busca Mezcal (which translates to "Wanted") was created to honor the unapologetic rebel spirit of the Adelitas and Soldaderas—the fierce women who fought on the frontlines of the Mexican Revolution. Handcrafted by Maestros Mezcaleros Rodolfo and Mary Lopez Sosa, the brand honors its heritage with a battle cry proving that "in every revolution there is love". The core line utilizes 100% Espadín agave, expertly balancing rich cooked agave and traditional mesquite smoke. What truly sets Se Busca apart in the mezcal landscape is their highly specialized aging program: their Reposado and Añejo expressions are rested in premium French oak barrels, resulting in deeply complex, sophisticated flavor profiles that beautifully bridge the gap between traditional Oaxacan smoke and elegant European wood maturation.

MEZCALS OFFERED:

  • Joven: The brand's foundational, unaged expression crafted from 100% Espadín agave. It delivers a highly approachable profile with cooked agave and mesquite on the nose. It opens into a vibrant palate defined by green vegetables, nuts, and fresh fruit, ultimately landing on a sweet, weighted finish with a mellow, spicy kick.

  • Reposado: A beautifully refined spirit that takes the signature Espadín and rests it for 10 months in French oak barrels. This careful aging process softens the smoke and imparts a sweeter, rebellious bouquet. It rewards the drinker with complex notes of toasted coconut, sweet almond, and hazelnut, all expertly intertwined with comforting hints of warm cereal, oak, and a touch of mesquite.

  • Añejo: A remarkably luxurious expression, aged for 2 full years in French oak barrels. This extended rest creates a perfected balance between the natural spice of the agave and the rich, dark sweetness of the wood. This unaged spirit moves away from the sweeter notes of their French oak line, instead capturing the authentically dry, earthy, and distinctly mineral-driven terroir of the wild agave, appealing directly to connoisseurs who appreciate delicate floral and vegetal character over heavy smoke.
