The Lost Explorer Mezcal
ABOUT:
The Lost Explorer began as a curiosity of time and earth
Every new day is filled with musings, mystery and magic as we masterfully fuse tradition with innovation to express Nature’s wisdom through flavor.
We started our journey making mezcal on the ancestral Miztec land in Valles Centrales, Oaxaca, with Maestro Mezcalero Fortino Ramos. Here, we grow our agaves 8-12 years to allow them to reach their ripest natural maturity in different parts of the arid, sun-soaked region. Making mezcal, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Each of our types of mezcal—Espadín, Tobalá, and Salmiana—vary in average size and innate flavor, each with its own personality and lifecycle we must care for.
We later ventured into the lowlands of Jalisco, where we brought our careful approach to make a masterful Tequila with Maestro Tequilero Enrique de Colsa.
For The Lost Explorer Tequila, our agaves spend 6 to 7 years soaking up the rich elements of the volcanic soil and surrounding terroir. Distilled in a dedicated facility, our small batch tequilas are not only crafted with care, but with the highest quality.
