We are a 100% Oaxacan-Mexican company committed to social responsibility, sustainability, and the environment. We bring together maguey and mezcal producers, promoting fair and alternative trade. We respect nature through organic farming practices.

The mezcals from "La Medida" are made by indigenous farmers in palenques, with 450 years of tradition and culture that can be confirmed in the quality of our mezcals, since we strive to control our production chain from planting, harvesting, production, and packaging, respecting 100% certified artisanal processes.

The ideal of “La Medida” is to be able to build a mezcal category that complies with regulations and the Product Conformity Assessment.

MEZCALS OFFERED:

Mezcales La Medida offers a variety of authentic, artisanal mezcals, focusing on transmitting the culture and experience of the traditional Mexican spirit. They feature 7 varieties of agave and 8 distinct labels, which are small, unmixed, 100% agave productions defined by the maguey, region, and the master producers. The brand emphasizes fair trade, quality, and the unique, harmonious work of its master mezcaleros.

  • Agave Coyote: The specific epithet honors the pre-Hispanic city of Mitla, whose name in Zapotec is Lyobaa, meaning "place of graves" or "resting place." The maguey del duende, native to the mountains surrounding the archaeological site, is currently planted in its gardens.

  • Agave Espadin Chichicapam: When it comes to mezcals, you might think that because they're made from the same agave or because they're the most common, they lose their charm, their magic, and their authenticity. When you taste the different Espadín de La Medida mezcals, you'll see, on a journey through four regions, that this is quite wrong. On the contrary, each land, process, and, above all, the hand of the person who makes their mezcal gives it very unique characteristics, and in each one, you discover a different message.
