As a futher exploration of the rich history of Mezcal, we will explore the niche of infused Mezcals. As a tradition, these are far fewer than their single varietal and ensamble counterparts, generally made and served for auspicious occasions. As we taste three of these unique spirits, we will discuss the traditions of adding botanicals to Mezcal during the distillation process to express “the heart of the Mezcalero”, and highlight the rarity and importance of these Mezcals in continuing the tradition of celebrating the moments that inspire their creation.
