Mitla Nights
Mitla Nights is a visually striking, herbaceous highball that brings a dark, intriguing twist to the smooth, artisanal notes of Mezcal San Cosme. It builds a refreshing and earthy base directly in a glass generously filled with ice by combining 2 oz of the espadín mezcal, a fresh orange slice, and ¼ teaspoon of activated charcoal, which lends the drink its captivating midnight hue. Gently mixed with a spoon and topped off with crisp quinine water (tonic) for a bubbly, bittersweet lift, this effortless yet sophisticated cooler is beautifully finished with a fragrant sprig of fresh rosemary, adding a vibrant botanical aroma to every sip.
Ingredients:
2 oz Mezcal San Cosme
1 orange slice
1 sprig of fresh rosemary
¼ teaspoon of an activated charcoal stick
Quinine water
Instructions:
Add all the ingredients to a glass filled with ice, mix with a spoon, and add the rosemary.
This cocktail uses plenty of ice
