Baller, Shot Caller
Baller, Shot Caller is a vibrant, multi-layered sour variation that delivers an adventurous contrast of sweet fruit and numbing heat. Shaken with muddled cantaloupe chunks, silver mezcal, fresh lemon juice, and a homemade Szechuan peppercorn syrup, this daring cocktail is served up and garnished with melon balls dusted in ghost chili pepper salt.
Ingredients:
2 oz Xicaru Silver
¾ oz lemon juice
¾ oz Szechwan peppercorn syrup
Instructions:
Heat 1qt, 1:1 simple syrup to 190F and steep with 2 Tbsp Szechwan peppercorns for 15 minutes, fine strain solids off. Muddle 4 chunks of cantaloupe and shake, serve up. Garnish with melon balls and sprinkle them with ghost chili pepper salt.
