New York City is one of the hottest markets in the United States for anyone seeking mezcal. There are now dozens of bars in the city that offer a wide selection of mezcal, from the classic Oaxacan varieties to more obscure expressions of mezcal and agave spirits from different regions of Mexico.
While Manhattan used to dominate the mezcal bar scene in the past, Brooklyn and Queens have come on strong in recent years with high-quality establishments, authentic mexican restaurants and live events featuring mezcal.
